Thoria was born and raised with the status of a deity. She was taught both traditions and responsibilities, and the taboos of her kind. She was told that she was to grow old and become prosperous under the care of her guardians and many mentors. She almost certainly would have lived up to these expectations, but complications began to arise. At the age of six hundred-ninety eight, knowing the danger it held, she traveled into the world of mortals. She went to introduce herself to the royalty of the country she visited in their palace, and all went well except for one thing. Within the third day of her visit, she was caught in the middle of an unexpected meeting between herself and a renowned mercenary who had been working for the palace for many years. Had they not spoken that day, her life would have traveled down an incredible path, but soon after that day, she commit one of the biggest taboos amongst the race of deities: to fall in love with a human.They were together for many days and nights after that, but one day her secret was discovered, and inevitably, her punishment was delivered. A deity called Sephira who had before treated her as a sister came face-to-face with her Romeo and Juliet story, aware that it must come to an end. Consumed with rage over what her sister had done, she knew she must punish her, but her love for Thoria caused her to feel sympathy and gentleness toward. While Thoria's fate should have been destruction, Sephira separated her body and soul, then took her body and sealed it deep within the Tree of Life in the Forest of Drossel. Finding her missing, her lover, Adrien, began eh search for her, ultimately leading up to him finding out what Sephira had done to Thoria. Obviously, Adrien was furious, and he confronted Sephira, demanding to have Thoria back. Regretfully, Sephira refused, and Adrien left to begin his own quest. However,as luck would have it, the strong magic force behind her soul caused Thoria's consciousness to be transported to another dimension, and following this trail, Adrien spent up his life trying to find her in world after world, until he eventually gave in to fate and fell in love with another girl and had children of his own. Many, many years later, Adrien's descendant began to receive signs of Thoria's existence. They saw illusions, heard voice, and saw things move, but none were able to fully comprehend what it meant. Finally one the children, Ethan saw a full-body illusion of Thoria standing on a nearby river. He saw her kneeling on the surface, and as she stood and face him, he tried to speak with her. While she was not able to speak, a map of stars appeared on the surface of the water, making out the shapes of many unfamiliar countries. At one point on the map of tiny stars, one glowed larger and brighter than any of the rest. On the surface of the water was written "Find it. I will be waiting." The entire illusion began to fade, and Ethan quickly grabbed a stick and sketched out as much as he possibly could into the dirt. As quickly as possible, he commit the map to memory, then quickly ran home and drew out a map on paper with Thoria's words written onto it. Ethan spent his life searching for what she meant by "Find it,' but was not able to find it. Ethan eventually grew and had a child of his own, Mark. Mark lived a fairly normal life, and met a woman, Emily, with whom he had his first and only child: David. When David was still very young, both his mother and father died in an incident that went unexplained to the whole family, but as he got older the shock faded away. David and his friend, Star loved to pretend and search around his grandfather's house for anything interesting they could turn into a story, and one day they found the map. Both curious, but still young, they thought it was a toy, so they played and made fun of it, and David's 'insane' grandfather. When Star turned 16, she was sent away on an out-of-country trip to Asia for three years, and lost all communication with David. When she returned, she arrived at his house with a strange mark and news of crazy things like magic having happened to her. He didn't believe her at first, but strange things kept happening. Eventually, they met Sora, a magical being who knew about magic itself, and began to explain that the odd occurrences were likely due to a ghost or spirit. Insistent that it was her, Ethan encouraged everybody to help him look for the girl he met so many years ago, and so they began a search across worlds that would hopefully lead them to find the mysterious girl.
